Västra Getterön Nature Reserve is situated on the outmost part of Getterön belonging to Varberg about 80 km south of Gothenburg. People call the area “Gubbanäsan”, “The old man´s nose”.

The reserve has a great geological value. In May, the trift, Armeria maritima as well as the yellow lichen, vägglav, Xanthória parietina, are decorating the cliff landscape.
